Our story
Day Dream Deli was born in 2019 when Tariq van der Berg, a Den Haag kid who'd spent a decade in street-food kitchens from Marrakech to Rotterdam, took over a narrow shopfront on Molenstraat and decided the city deserved something honest.
No pretence. Just smoke, seasoning, and the kind of food that makes you close your eyes for a second. Every sauce is made in-house, every bun is baked by the baker three doors down.
Molenstraat 65A is where the day-dreamers come to eat well and eat fast — office workers on lunch, students after lectures, families on Friday evenings. The city comes to us; we just make sure it leaves happy.
