Nefeli opened quietly on Valeriusstraat in 2019 — a narrow kitchen with big ideas. Eleni Papadimitriou left Thessaloniki with her grandmother's recipe notebooks and a single cast-iron skillet, and found a home in Den Haag's unhurried Archipelbuurt.
The food here is not a performance of Greece. It is the Greece of weekday lunches, of aunts arguing over salt, of charcoal smoke drifting through a kitchen window. Seasonal, unfussy, deeply felt.
Every dish on the menu has a reason to exist. Pull up a stool, order the stifado, and stay longer than you planned.
