Ons verhaal
Born on the Burgwal
Nemo Vermeulen grew up two canals from here, watching his Surinamese grandmother press spice into every meal like it was a form of prayer. In 2017 he opened a hatch on Fluwelen Burgwal 3 with six bar stools and one cast-iron griddle.
The burgers were never meant to be fancy — just precise. Beef sourced from a single farm in Zeeland, buns baked by a Jordanese bakker on the Denneweg, and sauces that carry the quiet heat of his grandmother's kitchen.
Den Haag has given Nemo's Burger its rhythm: the civil servants at lunch, the students at midnight, and everyone in between who simply wants something real.
