Our Story
Shakshuka was born on Prinsestraat out of homesickness. Nour El-Rashid left Tunis at twenty-six, landed in Den Haag, and missed the smell of cumin on a cast-iron pan more than anything else.
She opened a ten-table kitchen in 2014. The neighbourhood came for breakfast and stayed for the bar. Tonight, the same pan is still on the same flame.
Everything here is cooked as it was taught — slowly, loudly, with argument and love. The menu changes with the season. The shakshuka never does.
